Basil Garlic Pizza Dough

- 1 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- ½ cup warm water
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, olive oil, salt, basil, garlic, and the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out each dough ball into a circle or desired shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Top with homemade pizza sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Slice and serve hot.
