Ingredients(scaled)

  • 4 oz pasta of your choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • ½ 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • ½ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • ½ Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes with their juices to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking down the tomatoes with a spoon.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy tomato sauce.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Stir in chopped basil.
