Garlic and Herb Pizza Sauce

Ingredients(scaled)

  • ½ can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • ½ 1/2 tsp sugar
  • ½ Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well.
  4. Add oregano, basil, thyme, onion powder, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Simmer the sauce on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Once the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using on your pizza.
