- ½ 1/3 cup melted butter
- ½ 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- ½ egg, beaten
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x9-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the banana mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder with a tablespoon of hot water to create a smooth paste.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cocoa paste onto the banana batter. Use a knife to swirl the cocoa paste into the batter to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
