Herb-Infused Tomato Paste Pizza Sauce

Ingredients(scaled)

  • ½ can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • ½ 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • ½ 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • ½ 1/2 tsp sugar
  • ½ Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add tomato paste, water, oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, onion powder, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little more water.
  5. Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency and flavor, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before using it on your pizza.
  6. Spread the herb-infused tomato paste sauce on your pizza dough, add your favorite toppings, and bake according to your pizza recipe instructions.
