Ingredients(scaled)

  • 6 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • ½ 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • ½ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then toss in cooked pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
