- 6 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- ½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 ½ cloves garlic, minced
- ½ (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- ½ 1/2 cup heavy cream
- ½ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, then toss in cooked pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
