Ingredients(scaled)

  • 4 oz elbow macaroni or your favorite pasta
  • 1 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cups whole milk
  • 1 tbsp tbsp
  • 1 tbsp tbsp
  • ½ 1/2 tsp
  • ½ 1/4 tsp
  • ½ 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tbsp tbsp
  • ½ 1/4 cup grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta until al dente, drain.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour, cook 1 min.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened (about 5 min).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in shredded cheddar, salt, pepper.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with cheese sauce, transfer to a buttered baking dish.
  6. Mix panko breadcrumbs with olive oil, top the pasta evenly.
  7. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over breadcrumbs if using.
  8. Bake 20-25 min until bubbling and topping is golden brown.
  9. Let sit 5 min before serving.
