Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Add chicken pieces, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dredge marinated chicken in the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring each piece is coated evenly.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
  5. For the waffles, preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  6. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, and egg. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
