Ingredients(scaled)

  • 1 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ½ 1/4 cup honey
  • ½ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ½ 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the honey and milk until well combined.
  5. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the honey-milk mixture. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  7. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out 8 biscuits. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  9. Brush the warm biscuits with melted butter before serving.
  10. Enjoy the honey butter biscuits warm with additional honey or butter, if desired.
