Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Sesame Asparagus

Ingredients(scaled)

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • ½ 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tbsp grated ginger
  • ½ Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ Sesame seeds for garnish
  • ½ lb asparagus, trimmed
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ Cooked white or brown rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the teriyaki mixture over the salmon.
  4. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through and flaky.
  5. While the salmon is baking, prepare the asparagus. In a bowl, toss asparagus with sesame oil and soy sauce.
  6. Spread asparagus on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until tender but still crisp.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the asparagus before serving.
  8. Serve the teriyaki glazed salmon with sesame asparagus and cooked rice.
  9. Garnish the salmon with sesame seeds before serving.
