Ingredients(scaled)

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • ½ 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • ½ 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons honey
  • 1 ½ cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoons sesame oil
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • ½ Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and gochujang to make the marinade.
  2. Place chicken drumsticks in a resealable bag or container, pour the marinade over them, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place the marinated chicken drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with foil, reserving the marinade.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, turning once and basting with the reserved marinade halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is caramelized.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
